Stephanie Nichols
SECOND GRADE TEACHER
Stephanie Nichols was born and raised in Augusta and has always lived in the area, except for her college years at the University of Georgia, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in English. “What will you do with that degree….teach?” everyone asked. “No, I don’t want to be a teacher,” she always answered, though she did not necessarily have another plan. “But, God…” He most certainly had plans for her that most certainly included teaching. Stephanie has four children whom she (mostly) homeschooled in the (mostly) classical tradition because she loves (physical) books, words, reading, asking questions, critical thinking, and getting to know the Lord more and more through his Word, his creation, and his people, especially her husband, Paul; her two sons and two daughters and son-in-law; and her two granddaughters and two grandsons. Mrs. Nichols has taught in homeschool co-ops and communities throughout the years. God’s calling to Covenant Christian Academy has been a surprise and a joy! She is very humbled and excited to be a part of this very sweet, special school where Christ is magnified, students and faculty alike are discipled, and great books are opened to reveal the good, true, and beautiful of all that God has created.
