Riley Schorlemmer
SIXTH GRADE TEACHER
Mrs. Schorlemmer is the sixth-grade teacher at Covenant. This is her second year as a Georgia resident and first year stepping into a formal teaching role. She earned her B.S. in Health Science and M.S in Computer & Information Technology from Purdue University. From a very young age, the Lord has placed in her heart the desire to care for others, especially those who are more vulnerable. She began college pursuing care for others through health, and loves all the sciences. Upon undergraduate graduation, she began work as a case manager at a community mental health organization. She then returned to graduate school and began to pursue a career caring for others through safety. As she leaned into the Lord, He revealed the common thread of how she has been caring for others her entire life through informing and helping them to understand information.
She worked as a student worker and liaison during her undergraduate studies and as a research assistance and high school softball coach during her graduate studies. Since moving to Georgia, she has been working as substitute teacher in Columbia County School District and volunteering with the Kids ministry at Warren Grovetown. Mrs. Schorlemmer designs and develops her teaching through the lens of Truth – whether that be the laws of nature, the creation, the divine proportion, the emotion, the logic, etc. that the Lord has designed. She believes that by teaching with mutual respect for each other and the utmost respect for the divinity of the Lord, His Word, and His Will, the classroom will undoubtedly be a fertile environment where iron can sharpen iron and growth will flourish.
