Mrs. Lamar serves as the Academic Incentives Coordinator at Covenant Christian Academy. Rachel earned her B.A. in English from Furman University. She spent 10 years in administrative work before staying home full-time as a mom.

The importance of Christ-centered education was instilled in Rachel from a young age. She is grateful to her parents for the sacrifices they made to provide her with examples of abiding faith and a quality education – both priceless gifts. Rachel is thrilled to be partnering with Covenant to support the essential work of raising the next generation in a Biblical worldview.

Rachel is married to R.G. and they have two children, Lizzie and Gainer, who both attend Covenant.  The Lamars have a heart for Classical Education and its distinctives. They love reading aloud and being outside together. Rachel particularly enjoys long-distance running, embroidery and listening to audiobooks. Their family are members of Crawford Avenue Baptist Church.
