Mrs. Finch has been a part of Covenant Christian Academy since its beginning, and it holds a very special place in her heart. In many ways, she feels like she's been teaching all her life. What began as a childhood pastime became a profession spanning decades, locations, ages, and methods. In 1997, Mrs. Finch welcomed her first students to her classroom, and in the time since she has had the honor of teaching in three local private Christian schools, in addition to Covenant, one homeschool co-op, and homeschool her own children. She's had the opportunity to teach all ages from kindergarten through Advanced Placement upper school students. Her passion for teaching stems from her favorite verse on the subject: Proverbs 1:7, "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge. "

Mrs. Finch believes the longer you teach, the more you realize there is always something new to learn! A native of Augusta, she enjoys reading, gardening, decorating, and most of all spending time with her family. She and her husband have two daughters, both of whom are pursuing teaching professions of their own. She and her family are members of Redeemer Church (PCA) in Evans, where they have worshiped since the church was planted. Every year she is more in awe of the great work the Lord is doing at Covenant, as he knits together the Covenant community from all over the CSRA.
